UCU will between 1st and 2nd October host the Nkoba za Mbogo cultural gala. The event will attract the Nkoba za Mbogo chapters from various universities and secondary schools in Uganda. They will be showcasing their talents in music, dance and drama. Secondary schools will be participating on 1 October whereas the universities will do theirs on 2 October. Already, preparations and rehearsals by the UCU Nkoba za Mbogo chapter are ongoing and they are being done behind the Bishop Tucker building. They have been going on since the beginning of the semester. The event, according to the UCU Nkoba za Mbogo General Secretary Michael Nkugwa, will be attended by the Nabagereka of Buganda Sylivia Naginda, and the Katikiro John Baptist Walusimbi. Nkoba za Mbogo is a cultural umbrella organisation bringing together Baganda youths. Meanwhile, the DOSA is yet to set the date for this year’s UCU cultural gala.
