The Freshers Ball will together with the Residents Party will be held on the 7 October in the  new football field. The minister for Welfare, Leonard Obichale told The standard that they had decided to have the function take place on campus for security reasons.

 In the past, Freshers’ balls  have always been held off-campus, normally in hotels. He added that they had decided to combine the two parties into one because the majority of residents are the new students.
    He said they plan to make it unique as they will be able to bring a variety of entertainers such as the Kings of comedy Group. They have planned for 3000 students. The function will take place from 5.00 p.m to 10.00 pm that day.
