The second annual Zuka Students’ Film Festival  that took place on Saturday 24th September 2011 at Sharing Youth Centre, Nsambya attracted ended well and was able to attract a good number  of film lovers. It was held under the theme, “A take on reel dreams.” The event’s best film was “Just Role It” by Emma Kawoya of Kampala University.
In his film, Kawooya shows the process of making the locally prominent delicacy referred to as “Rolex.” He presented it in a simple step by step process that leaves everyone with a lesson about the  making of the delicacy.
Winnie Gamisha, who handed over the dummy check to Kawooya, emphasised that the money is intended to promote film talent and that it is for his next project.
“Your money is there. However, it will be given to you after you present your proposal for your next film,” said Gamisha.
The Vice Chancellor of Kampala University, Amb. Al-Haji, Prof. Badru Dungu Katerega graced the event as chief guest and applauded the great effort that the students have put in promoting the film industry in Uganda. Kateregga was pleased to know that the best three films came from Kampala University and he encouraged all students and the audience to work hard towards developing their talent.
