Mustard Seed rocks Nkoyoyo

After a considerable absence, Mustard Seed, one of UCU’s initiatives rocked the stage last weekend.
This happened just a weekend after the Chapel Choir put up a spectacular show at Nkoyoyo Hall.

The Mustard Seed which comprises of UCU students gave its best in music, dance and drama and left many students demanding for more despite the fact that they had to rise early to attend Sunday morning prayers.
Students yearned for more and more from the ladies and gentlemen who were clad in black suits and green neckties, with streams of beautiful voices flowing out of their God-blessed throats.
With a kick off at 8:00 pm, the Mustard Seed first unleashed local Christian songs, in Runyankole-Rukiga, Acholi, Lugbara, and Lingala, among others.
The catchiest was the Rukiga “Ariyo Amagara” which left no one on their seats, introverts inclusive.
They also performed a number of popular western Christian songs, which seemingly impressed the crowd.
One spectator exclaimed that UCU had the talent, after seeing Steven Oundo, the band’s base guitarist; produce marvellous sounds at the beginning of the show.
The TLM dance group from Watoto Church also never disappointed the crowd with their dancing skills, which were thoroughly applauded.
The event was notably attended by the Rev Canon Dr John Ssenyonyi who is also Mustard Seed`s patron.
He participated in the cutting of the cake and gave a speech thanking Mustard Seed for organising the music show.
He also advised that worship should be a lifestyle, because it will constantly be done in heaven.
The Guild president Rodney Bamusede also attended the show.
