Nowadays, security in our university is a bit lax. Two years ago, there were bombings at Kyadondo Rugby grounds and Ethiopian village and it
seems that we have forgotten all about it. Security Staff at our gate no longer mind about whatever one carries into the university. The fact that police does not regularly issue security alerts, does not mean that we do away with metal detectors at entrances to our university. How I wish the energy and time that is spent on chasing away indecent students is similarly put to good use in enforcing security. Let us not forget that the vice of terrorism is still within us and the perpetrators work 24/7. |
