UCU security staff should be taught first-aid courses to enable them handle accidents and diseases such as asthma tic and heart attacks.
I’m writing this because recently, a lady had an asthma attack at the Main gate. We did not know what to do until a bodaboda cyclist came and challenged us. He gave her mouth-to- mouth first-aid before rushing her to the clinic. Even taking her to the clinic was a challenge because there was no stretcher. As UCU security, we have a gap in that area. |
