Tips on how to take care of your lips

By Scarlet Chermarum BAMC III, :: 24-06-2012

Lips are a very important part of the body. For the attentive lady, the lips deserve special care. The protective skin layer on the lips is thin as they do not contain sweat glands and are thus prone to dryness. If not taken care of, the lips crack and can be painful. They could also develop infections. Here are a few tips on how to take care of your lips.

  •  Apply vaseline or ghee as this keeps lips moisturized.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
  • Use lip balm to prevent moisture loss.
  • While you brush, gently move in circular motion with the brush on your lips to remove any dead cells.
  • Eat foods rich in vitamins A, B and C.
