Christianity not defined

“There is a misconception today that evidence of those filled by the Holy Spirit is in their ability to speak in tongues.”
This statement was made by Dr. Chris Tuhiriirwe  a lecturer at Makerere University. He was speaking on 14th June during community hour.
Dr. Tuhiriirwe said because in some places of worship, Christians are told they have no place in church if they cannot speak in tongues, many resort to faking it.
Dr. Tuhiriirwe argued that the Holy Spirit is only received once and that all his gifts must be allowed to grow as a cluster.
Speaking on the same issue, Rev. Daniel Button said that simply experiencing speaking in tongues is not the purpose of the Holy Spirit.
“We should be focusing on how we are going to run the long race and the Holy Spirit does just that. He works in us to enable us lead victorious lives in our Christian walk,” said Button.
