University students with disabilities form association

 Ugandan university students living with disabilities have formed an association. The students from 17 universities elected their executive on November 18 in Mirembe Hall.
The association's formation was championed by David Nangosi, the UCU disabilities guild member of parliament. He said that they had formed the body to ensure that the rights of people with disabilities in universities.
He gave the example of the new library which was built without the facilities for people with disabilities.
The association’s new chairperson is Suleiman Mayanja, from the Islamic University in Uganda. The  the vice chair is David Nangosi from UCU. 
The new leaders promised to take the association to other universities in East Africa.
