The Career Week, which ran from November 14-19, kicked off with a launch on Friday 11, where students enjoyed the sight of deputy vice chancellors Dr. Alex Kagume and Mr. Doug Fountain, among other university administrators dancing on stage.
During the course of the week various professionals and alumni talked to groups of students from different courses.
“The speakers who came during the week were representative of various groups of professions,” Susan Hakiza, the administrative assistant to the deputy VC development snd externl relations said. The event was organised by her.
Among the professionals  were James Muhwezi, a manager from the National Bank of Commerce, Fred Byamugisha, an engineer from MTN Uganda, who talked to the IT students, and Mrs. Irene Magara, an education specialist.
Some alumni like Irene Marunga, gave students testimonies of the realities of life after university.
During the career bazaar, individuals, companies and students had opportunity to exhibit their goods and services.
