Ten lecturers have won prizes for this year’s contribution to quality teaching at UCU. Out of the 29 academic staff nominated, only ten were chosen for the Awards for Excellence in Teaching for 2011.
The winners were: Mr. Peter Mugume (education and arts faculty), Dr. Sarah Kaddu (head library and information science ), Mr. David Brian Dennison (Faculty of Law), Mr. Peter Davis Mutesasira (law faculty), Dr. Sarah Kizza Nkambwe (Faculty of Technology), Ms. Rebecca Asiimwe (Faculty of Technology), Mrs. Faith Mbabazi Musinguzi (social science), Ms Emilly Comfort Maractho (development studies), Associate Prof. Edison Muhindo Kalyengyo (divinity and theology) and Mr. John Vianney Ahumuza (foundation studies). The giving of the awards for excellence in teaching, was during the induction of new students on Tuesday 24 January at Nkoyoyo Hall during the Community Hour. The occasion began with the recognition of those members of staff who had just received masters and PhDs. |
