Former VC, Prof. Stephen Noll hands over the UCU seal to his successor, Dr. John Senyonyi on August 27.

Prof. Stephen Noll has finally handed over the office of Vice Chancellor of Uganda Christian University, (UCU), to his successor, the Rev. Dr. John Senyonyi.
Prof. Noll’s tenure officially ended on August 31, but had handed over power on August 27 and left for his home in USA on August 29.

The handover took place at Principal’s Hall and was attended by among others, UCU Chancellor the Most Rev. Henry Luke Orombi, Bishop Michael Kyomya, (C/M University Council), Dr. Florence B Sajjabi, (DVC Finance and Administration), Dr. Alex Kagume, (DVC Academic Affairs), and Rev. Milton Tweheyo who is the Director of Students Affairs.
Although he is already serving as VC, Senyonyi is still scheduled to undergo an official installation on October 29, the same day UCU will hold the second part of its 11th graduation ceremony.
In his post-handover message to the community, Noll reiterated his earlier remarks saying Senyonyi is the right man to steer UCU to its dream of being center of excellence in the heart of Africa.
“I believe I have made clear my conviction that the Rev. Dr. John Senyonyi is the right man to succeed me. I also believe his wife Ruth will be an exemplary "First Lady" of UCU,” Noll said adding,
“I trust that you will accord John the full honour due the office. Please honour the transition.”
