Modular students now have a reason to feel closer to the rest of the student community. They were for the first time hosted to a dinner by the guild government in Nkoyoyo Hall on 17 January.
The dinner was attended by the Director of Students Affairs Rev. Milton Tweheyo, Guild President Chrysostom Akwech, Vice chancellor Rev. Dr. John Senyonyi and other guild officials. The DOSA and Vice chancellor thanked the guild for recognising modular students and honouring them in such a manner. Dr. Senyonyi thanked the students for choosing to study at UCU and assured them that the education at the university was one that ensures a complete development of a person. Elections for their representative to the guild government were also held that night. Mwanja Peter, a student of M.A Education and Planning and Administration beat other two contenders to take the seat. He is their representative for now. |
