Mission Week a time to make that life changing decision

Mission Week is a regular and vital item on the UCU calendar. Renowned preachers come and engage the community with the gospel.  Sometimes one may think they have heard it before. God speaks clearly and always leaves the ball in our court to make the decision to obey. The message about God extending his kingdom using ordinary folks like us was sounded. The time one spends at UCU should be one of being equipped to serve God’s kingdom. Emptiness seems to grip us each time we thirst for things that never satisfy the human heart such as power, money, and sex. When we pursue these outside the confines of God’s guidance, the misery we find ourselves in is incredible. At the different events we have during mission week you can hear God’s voice calling you to change. Deciding to change is within your means. Nobody can make that decision for you. No one can take that responsibility away from you. You also have to live with the consequences of either accepting Christ or rejecting Him. Even if you run, you can’t hide.
