Elect leaders carefully

It is election time yet again.
The way you vote and decide who leads you is in question.

The UCU guild, like a number of guilds nationwide has been in the spotlight for a number of reasons some good, many bad; this is your opportunity to right those wrongs and hopefully for the better. You need to elect a person you will be proud off 20 years from now.
The only way that will happen is if you vote-in the most suitable person.
Do not vote in persons based on sectarian tendencies.
The common notion ...so and so..., comes from the same village as myself or we are of the same tribe and even maybe that we attended the same school are some of the reasons that lead people to error in judgement of whom they think is best suited to lead them.
People will come and make promises that you also know that they will not fulfil, well hold them accountable, look for qualities in a leader that you think will not be a recipe for disaster.
And lastly, look at the team that they intend to bring into power with them. Is it just a clique of friends or a larger representation of the student community?
