Last week a student from Kampala Campus noted that The Standard doesn’t give enough coverage of other campuses.
It is an ongoing challenge, covering UCU’s various satellite campuses.

It is true that most of UCU’s 7,000 students and events are at the Mukono Campus. Thus most coverage by necessity will be weighted to the Mukono Campus.
With this said, we are most interested in being fair to the entire UCU body. Through various means, we have published events from other campuses,often by sending a reporter to those campuses.
To this end, we do ask that other campuses be in touch with this office when events of importance occur. Even more important, we encourage that interested and talented writers and photographers (they’re known as correspondents or stringers in the journalism business) from other campuses step forward.
We do pay for this type of freelanced work from others. And nobody knows best of what is happening than those on the ground there.
