Faith MasiboFaith Masibo knew right from primary school that she was going to be a teacher. “I was always called on to discuss topics in class and I knew that this is what I was destined for,” she said.  She did not struggle after A ‘level making up her mind on what she wanted to study at university since she had already set the foundation.

Her Journey to achieving her dream almost failed when her father retired just before she joined university. Her hope only revived when Scholars and Friends awarded her with a full tuition scholarship. This inspired her to work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA to keep the scholarship.
However, after a series of good results, she relaxed in her fourth and fifth semesters and her grades dropped. “I knew I was headed for failure and I had to do something about it,” she says adding that she used all the time she had in her final semester to compensate for the previous semesters.
Along with hard work and her mother’s encouragement to press on, Masibo believes in doing things right whenever the opportunity arises.
‘I can never have another chance in life,” she says.
In the next five years, Masibo hopes to have acquired masters in Economics and in better position to become more than just a teacher.
To the students, she advises,
‘university can be the hardest stage in life. If you don’t take advantage of it or know what you want, your future is at risk.”
Masibo excelled with a GPA 4.59.
