Samuel Sanya BBA

Sanya was not driven by the desire to become the best, but, rather the mandate to maintain an average GPA of 4.0, as required by friends and scholars.

“In my second semester, first year, I was awarded a scholarship that required hard work and this has brought about my success,” he said.
While in High school, Sanya studied Physics, Economics and Mathematics, in hope of studying engineering at University. However, the tables turned at university and he took on Business Administration, a field he says was worth every effort he put in.
“There are so many opportunities that come with BBA and I am glad that I took on this path,” he said. The choice he made has paid off with an overall GPA 4.63.
He attributes his success to God, Hard work, teamwork and sacrifice. He adds that he has achieved a lot from being a sportsman. He has played for the Knights and the Shepherds, UCU Chess and Rugby teams.
“When you win a game, you get a sense of achievement,” he said, adding that reading alone is not enough, one needs to keep fit in a lot of ways.
Sanya is currently working on a UNIT Trust Proposal, which he hopes students will embrace to save money. With this, they will be able to have a considerable sum to start up something after their graduation.
“There’s no idea that yields into anything if there’s no money to back it up,” he said.
In the next 15 years, he hopes to have acquired a Masters and owning a string of businesses.
To the rest of the students he advises, ‘Fear God, love what you do.’
