UCU’s netball goal shooter Peace Proscovia was explicit scoring over 300 points of the 500 to aid Uganda’s victory during the All African Games in Maputo Mozambique. The games were played from September 2 to 21. The Round Robin series games were played by nine countries Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Uganda. Uganda registered clean sheets with Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe proving to be hard nuts to crack but in utter vain. Kenya was kicked out of the medal bracket by Zambia who claimed the bronze after Tanzania’s silver and Uganda’s gold. Uganda gathered three gold medals, one silver and three bronze medals. The next games will be hosted by Congo Brazzaville in 2015. “This was one of our biggest achievements as a team and as an individual,” said Proscovia.
