Staff team walloped in intramural league

Casablanca FC kicked off the games with an easy 3-0 win over the staff team on Tuesday 28.
Right from kickoff, the odds were against Staff FC which was largely made up of veterans compared to young blood Casablanca boys.

Both teams were scrappy in the first minutes; they missed kicking the ball several times and showcased poor ball control skills.
But all this unfitness even made the game a lot more fun to watch.            Casablanca held Staff FC half ground for the better part of the first half but did not make good of their numerous attempts at the goal until in the last minute of first half.
Peter Okampe curved an exquisite ball into the right angle of the net past goalie Simon Peter.
After the halftime break, Casablanca got even better organised to humiliate their seniors.
In the 10th minute, Casablanca’s Aaron Muzee caught Peter unawares and sent a long range shot into the back of the net.
Peter followed the ball helplessly into the back of the net. Almost in reiteration, Staff’s Ivan Musoke stroked fiercely but his menacing shot was punched out.
He was later brought down in the penalty area by defender David Jakisa. Michael Lukanga failed to convert the penalty, Staff F.C’s only lucid chance for a consolation and get back into the game.
Late in the second half, referee Twinamatsiko Mark awarded another penalty against staff F.C’s Lukanga for a handball in the penalty area.
Simon Peter Ddamba took the penalty and added his name on the score sheet and sealed Staff F.C’s fate at the three down.
In the other match, Revelona FC lashed Boka FC 4-3. Revelona FC goals were scored by Gerald Basiima (2goals), Emmanuel Omenyuk and Godfrey Karuhanga. Boka FC goals by Kenneth Kisitu, Sam Kweriti and Adorica Muhwezi.
Action resumes this Saturday as  Heddon FC Vs Angels, Horsepower Vs The Galacticals, and Veterans FC Vs Revelona.
