Pilots had a bumpy ride in the first round of the Badminton Development Programme (BDP) league but are hoping to snatch silverware come round two this February.
Despite finishing sixth in the league, captain Ronald Byaruhanga is determined to finish in the first three.
“We want to get a bronze for the third position on the table,” Byaruhanga said.
The ambitious Pilots are in contest with a couple of star studded teams including Ndejje university, State house YK, State house JM and Entebbe clubs among others.
According to the Pilots’ captain, they need to boost their energy and scale up training. He is setting his guns towards displacing third-placed State House JM for the bronze accolade at the end of the season in May.
“If the training goes well, we can pull them down. But we still have a great challenge of wind blowing the shuttle during training since we are training from an open volleyball court,” he said.  Nevertheless the Pilots are up to the task.
