Student Accommodation
Residence halls provide safe and comfortable living, and students who reside on campus have well equipped computer labs with high speed internet. Over 2000 students are accommodated on campus or in University-supervised off-campus housing. All first year students stay in University housing and Uganda’s only Resident Assistant programme helps mentor young students.
The University provides shared accommodation for students in halls of residence. First year students are required to be residents. Preference is also given to other female students. The University assists non-residents in identifying nearby hostels suitable for student accommodation.
There is a wide choice of accommodation within walking distance or a short bus ride away from the university campus, which accommodates the rest of the students.
The Guest House has opened its guest houses at the campus to cater for University guests and other guests. The accommodations are attractive and quiet. You can book into the Eunice, ICMI or Mirembe guesthouses. The Mirembe guesthouse also provides graduate students taking the modular public health (Save the Mothers) programme during their three weeks on campus stay.
