Trinity/May Intake – Full-time at Mukono/Main campus and Weekend at Kampala campus

In addition to the other University admission requirements for undergraduate Programmes, one of the following categories will allow admission to this course:
• An Upper Second class Bachelor’s degree, or higher;

• A Bachelor’s degree of a lower second class, and at least 2 years of working experience in a research or policy, or a postgraduate diploma;
• A Masters degree

Two years, with five years to complete

The Master of Research and Public Policy housed inthe Faculty of Social Science aims to build professional researchers and policy analysts and makers with strong critical thinking skills, deep integrity, and a firm Christian ethical foundation. This Programme is based on priorities of the African Public Policy Agenda and has two specialization tracks: Research or Policy Practice.

Specific content includes: governance and politics of public policy, social science foundations for public policy, economics for public policy, political economy of public policy, global context of public policy, research methods, and contemporary issues in public policy, among others.

Career prospects upon completing this Programme can be found in universities, government, research organizations, think tanks, civil society organizations, media, regional and international levels, and private sector investments.
